Actually, I think my route is probably the quickest too.

Jubillee line is more frequent than Met Line trains at Aldgate and not all DLR trains go to tower gateway from City Airport, but they do all go to Canning Town.

Jubillee line also gets across central london quickly and the change over to the Met Line at Finchley road is very easy. There are more Met Line trains to Wembley at Finchley Road than there are at Aldgate as a lot of them start at Baker Street.
