I left my well paid job to take a very poorly paid job doing what I love (albeit temporarily until the end of this year or the new year). I am now basically living for free in Germany (flat, car, phone) with a monthly salary on top of that which equates to the same as I would earn in 3 hours of work in my previous job (maximum for German volunteer status) yet paying my bills in NL.

It strangely liberating :)

Oh. And far far harder work than I've been doing the last 20 years. Every waking moment near enough!
