I don't think labour voters should be too down
They weren't ready to/didn't have the right team to govern yet and can now sort themselves out. Plus they've avoided the SNP issue.
The tories now have nowhere to hide. If they don't "finish the job" and sort out the devolution mess they will be out next time because labour will come again. If they do succeed then its only good for the country as a whole. Win/win really.
