The way to achieve what you're saying is to vote, but spoil your ballot
If there's a turnout of 60%, with 30% one way and 20% another and 10% the rest, so what.
If there's a turnout of 90%, with 30% one way, another 30% spoilt, the rest as above, then it sends a clear message.
Doing nothing will result in nothing at the end of the day.
To be clear I'm not spoiling my ballot, I know who I'm voting for. But if you feel like "don't vote it only encourages them" then spoiling your ballot is a much more effective way to be heard.
