Even simpler solution

Get rid of Rob Butler.

You're right though - it's turned into an embarrassment of a programme - and wastes the expertise of the player. More likely to have someone ringing in because they're wearing yellow underpants than someone who was at the match and has an iq greater than John Ruddy's squad number.
