Oh, sorry. Dunno, can't remember ever having their London Porter.
Porter and stout are basically the same thing really. Porter came first, and then breweries started to make slightly stronger than usual 'stout' versions of their beers, so you'd get 'stout porters' and 'stout pale ale'.
But over time, stout and porter have come to mean really the same thing. There are deeply held entrenched positions to the contrary of this (honestly, in brewing circles online the stout/porter spats can stand alongside anything you can see on here), but these are basically people you'd change pub to avoid having to hear or converse with.
I love porters.
