When did UEFA sit down and decide diving was legal?

I?ve lost count of the number of dives that have been totally ignored by referees this season. I?m not talking about the ones that are given as fouls, like Gerrads penalty dive last night, but the ones when the ref waves play on.

Any dive should be punished by a yellow card regardless of where it happens on the pitch. Players used to get punished for diving but nothing happens anymore.

This has now spread to commentators who regularly agree that any contact, no matter how minimal, is deemed a free kick.

We now have a sport where the slightest contact, whether it be a trip or touch on someone?s arm, is greeted by the ?fouled? player throwing him self to the floor and faking an injury.

It?s time the FA and UEFA acted to rid the game of this disgrace and return football to its place and the greatest sport on Earth and not the joke that it?s become.
