So I went down that there Boots and...
bought an adapter plug so that US devices would work in the UK... but the Boots adapter plug has a rim on it which means that USA plugs don't even fit into it.
This is what happens when Boots is sold to foreign European tax dodgers (who then have the nerve to lecture the UK about tax) and don't even check that their products work.
People coming to the UK from the USA would be really p'd off that they are being sold adapter plugs that don't work.
