I too was just taught the bare (no pun intended) mechanics. Whereas sex needs to be contextualised in terms of a relationship. There are disease risks but also emotional risks especially for teens/those starting out, and porn is much more extreme than the odd centrefold that used to get passed round in the old days, which in turn may lead to unrealistic views on what sex actually is.

So I think that young people should be taught all of this, before they are likely to become active too.
