Remember the games at Carrow Road
was in the days of Ian Mellor who I seem to remember getting two ghouls in one game up the Barclay end - one being from the old "impossible angle".
Me and a group of mates had tickets for the Sunderland End at Wembley (1973 Cup Final v Dirty Leeds) on the Saturday but the Texaco Cup Final Second Leg was at Portaloo Road the night before. I was feeling unwell on the Friday so didn't travel to scumland. They had a horrendous accident on the way back involving both their cars (and others) and all ended up in hospital. I went to the Cup Final and sold their tickets like a proper cockeney tout (was actally s**tting it) at 5 times face value and then we gave the money to aid their recovery.
One mate I still go to games with has the scars on his hands from the accident to this day. Should say they caused the accident.....
He still talks about being semi-concious in the back of the ambulance but kept saying "clunk-click every trip" until they told him to give it a rest.
