Expecting "Sack the board" chants if we replace Deano with Gray
I wouldn't YET condone it myself (the board have suppported worthy with lots of money at the end of the day), but looking at the lack of talent on the team sheet today I wouldn't blame those supporters...
Selling deano will make us a lot of money and if the money was spent well I personally think it could be a good move... we could afford Gray AND a better striker (Earnshaw? Jansen?) AND a good right winger (not a f**king loan - we need squad consistency!!)... However, would anyone be surprised if we just replaced ashton with someone for around ?1m?
I think Gray is a mistake... his form this season is appalling and it shows such a lack of ambition by the club by getting a reject from one of the worst premiership sides ever seen....
I'd personally prefer to get someone who is on fire in our league or lower... someone with form and confidence... dare I say Lee Trundle? Yes he needs to cut down on the pork pies, but he HAS got the best goalscoring record in England at the mo' (I know he's injured at the moment, but we we will have cover if we bring in 2 strikers)....

- Exactly - ?7m SHOULD be worth more to us than keeping Ashton, but... (NCFC) - middlep, Jan 7, 15:20:23
