Slow cook gammons in cherry coke (srsly, bear with me) then cook red cabbage in the liquid

strained out from the slow cooker once the gammons is done.

(the gammons, by the way, score with a knife, smear with 'nuf cherry jam, and finish off in the oven at 180C for 25 mins, until the jam is thick and sticky)
