I know you take things to heart on here a little

and I wish you wouldn't quite as much. Something I've learned as I've become exceptionally decrepit is that some people won't like me and some will, no matter really what I do, it's just the way of the world. I didn't learn simply to ignore those who don't until an awful lot of years after I wish I had.

That sentence is appalling - well, "English" is generous - but you get the gist :-)

I think we all get pelters on here from time to time, when I do it's deserved, and honestly it's like the papers - tomorrow's fish and chip papers. If you think you're genuinely upset someone, worry about it and make it right. But you haven't, so don't; if it's just people being people, accept it for what it is and move on.
