Blackburn's problem has always been demographics. Too many clubs to compete with in the North-West; and an area ravaged by the demise of heavy industry and serious levels of poverty.

So they were well behind the eight-ball to begin with. Then Venky's appalling attitude and mismanagement did the rest.
