Back in the Prem. All hypothetical, but I think it'll happen. Couple of years later, we're comfortable in mid-table / lower mid-table - but where would he go after that?
Can't get the Man Utd job or equivalent without doing the impossible and taking us into the CL or something - leaving him, or other young aspiring managers like him, stuck with Newcastle, Everton or Villa. Two of those are poisoned chalices beyond belief; the other are likely to retrench over the next few years, as they just don't have the money necessary.
No doubt he'd do his homework in a way Lambert didn't - but there's a glass ceiling facing managers like him in England. Incredibly difficult to break through it; incredibly easy to get stuck. But let's make the absolute most of this brilliant manager in the meantime. :)
