But of course it never hurts to speak with them - it all depends on the quality of the individual that you speak to.

I'm not sure how good the Legal Ombudsman actually is for helping with disputes though.
A surprising number of High Stret firms will do an hour or so of free consultation to give you an idea of whether you have a case worth pursing or whether you're pisisng in the wind.
What's the nature of the dispute? (broadly speaking)
