not sure its devalued

the standard of teams in it is tougher than it ever was when it was the European Cup. Its a hybrid though, designed to placate those teams who threatended to breakaway and form their own European Superleague (such a league - everyone plays everyone else home and away - would be the only real way to find the real best team in Europe, but it wouldn't have a glamourous final and you couldn't cope with the sheer no of teams involved)
