I had to get up at 3:40am to watch the game. I thought they were unlucky to concende the second after the pen appeal (how often does that happen!) and I thought they were dead and buried at half time. Nearly went back to bed to be honest.

But glad I didn't. What a comeback. Always nice to see English clubs win at European level. Great Speghetti legs from Dudek. Was way off his line though so was lucky there were no retakes. I think he earned his luck with the double save from Shevchenko though; that was tops.

I think they should be allowed to defend it, but I understand the argument against it. Why not put them in a qualifier against Everton? That woul spice up the games a little ;)
