Basically, if you have one regular client who pays you the vast majority of what you earn
HMRC can argue you're not self-employed - but that in fact, they employ you. The circumstances you're setting out about how they're treating you only reinforce that.
You can't let it continue. You need to find new clients sharpish. The sooner you do, the sooner you can tell this bunch of exploitative arseholes to get stuffed.
