back from the game
sat in front row, so hard to make out a lot of the play very clearly but thought we looked very comfortable first half, pegging them in their half and probing away, and making them play it back a lot and forcing errors. 2-0 pretty fair at that point. we might have had more i guess but for johnson missing a couple of half chances, also redmonds touch was a bit poor and that prevented 2 or 3 moves from developing as you'd hope. first goal seemed almost too easy, howson seemed to have an age to tuck it away. placed it nicely though. 2nd was just a lot of fun.
second half - i was happy until someone started that 'a win away' chant to the tune of a lion sleeps tonight. as much at it did seem easy (in terms of away games i've been to i'd rarely felt so relaxed) it still felt a bit premature... and then they scored a minute or two later
didnt see too much of the winner but clearly a mighty relief.
not the greatest atmosphere but it didnt help that the ground was half empty. they made a bit of noise when we went 2 up though. and also when they scored, obviously.
