So, who is really going to buy Ashton ?

Spurs ? No chance. They don't need him.

West Ham ? They have apparently just bid 7m for a big Serbian striker. This shows that 1) they are in for a big striker, 2) that they are able to stretch to our asking price and 3) that Deano is not their #1 target.

Portsmouth ? Just signed Olisadabe and bid 4.5m for another striker this week.

Charlton already put themselves out of the running.

Man City are apparently after Matt Jansen. However, it looks like they are by far the favourites for Ashton unless the Whammers bid for the Serbian fails
