You go onto your banking website, and they'll have a section
you file a claim either online or to an address
They open a case and ring you a week or so later. You'll be asked your memories PPI. I've only filed one claim after another bank just sent me a letter and offered me a set amount (I hadn't asked them about it, they just wrote)
My stock general answer (which is the truth), is that whenever I added to loans or credit, it was sold to me like it was mandatory. It ididn't feel like like I had a choice.
Now, this is something you might want to consider. Someone I know used to work in the claims departments for these things, and he said to me that both pay outs I got were probably an estimate, and I should have queried the offers. He said they would have gone back and checked fully and I'd have probably ended up with a lot more
He probably is right. I was pretty ok with the two ?500 offers. But what he said makes sense as both offers are both simple figures of one amount
Good luck :)
