It is, yes. I still think it's 2 of the last 30 too
But there's a few models to follow since the Prem was formed. Palace have done it twice, and almost a third time too (Dave Bassett in 95/6 worked an amazing and immediate transformation, but was just pipped at the end by another club that had changed their manager: O'Neill's Leicester). Then there was Bruce at Birmingham in 01/2 (that's twice this phenomenon worked to Norwich's detriment, in other words). And while Roy Keane got the Sunderland job very early on in 06/7, they were in such a death spiral that what he did on sheer force of personality was remarkable.
So it CAN happen - and with our squad and our finances, I'd say we have a major, major chance of adding ourselves to that small group of clubs this season.
