Me! I appealed & got off emailing them this;...
Good morning,
I received the attached charge notice from you yesterday.
I would like to appeal this charge as after shopping on the Riverside complex for 2 hours with my children, I was back in my car by 16.45 so that I could leave within the allowed time period.
I was however unable to leave the car park for 45 minutes due to traffic congestion. I was no longer in the car park space, but sat in a queue of traffic the whole time until I was able to leave the car park.
Until that day, I was unaware that on a day when Norwich City FC play at home, the traffic on your car park comes to a stand still for that long. Had there been a sign in place warning me this may happen I would have cut my visit short, or parked elsewhere.
Under the circumstances I feel the fine is unjust. Please feel free to call me on?0**** *****1?to discuss this matter further.
In addition to this email, do you require me to send this appeal/complaint in writing via Royal Mail?
