can't you remember when we were good?

muddyfunster, I take it you are too young to remember the sides of John Bond, Ken Brown, Dave Stringer and Mike Walker, all of them have achieved more or equal to Worthington. They all advocated and their sides played proper football. It's this I (and I suspect many other supporters) want to see our side playing now.

Ineffective? Yes, finishing third in the Premiership, Europe (and Europe before that if English teams hadn't been banned), FA Cup semis, etc etc. When Worthy can achieve anything like that with his hoofball, if we haven't all fallen asleep by then I might rate him, slightly. What have we won under Worthy exactly apart from promotion, which we had done before under previous footballing regimes?

He's safeguarding his job alright, but the way he's doing it is down to his naivety, his ignorance and his stubborn attitude. He's bought in a lot of mediocre players and shifted good ones who don't equate with his highly regarded work ethic. Time for the club to cough up to get rid, start again and for our club to start playing some decent stuff. It's supposed to be entertainment at the end of the day.
