Significant indeed that the votes for Phelan on the Pink'Un poll
Are exceeded by those for 'Other!' We simply CANNOT have yet another man in charge with no previous managerial experience. WE all know that and the Board is going to have to bite the bullet on it. Eddie Howe for me but included in my other list of possibilities in no particular order would be: Glenn Hoddle, Neil Lennon, Martin O'Neill, Derek McInnes (seven straight league wins in a row at Aberdeen without conceding a goal), Gordon Strachan and at a push Tim Sherwood. If you fancy a real long shot how about Sir Alex Ferguson until the end of the season? I do believe he has a place somewhere near Edinburgh!!

- Tim Sherwood really more credible than Mike Phelan?! "Successful" manager for 28 games. (n/m) (NCFC) - derbyshire canary, Jan 6, 13:07:24
- That poll might be significantly different if Lennon were specifically included? (n/m) (NCFC) - Kirrie, Jan 6, 13:03:50
- Phelan would be a risk but putting him in the same bracket as Adams is ridiculous (n/m) (NCFC) - Verity Lines, Jan 6, 13:02:47
- Everyone would be a risk. Much more to it than simply having managed before. (n/m) (NCFC) - derbyshire canary, Jan 6, 13:08:49
- Northern Ireland manager lives that way doesn't he? (n/m) (NCFC) - loz, Jan 6, 13:01:15
