The tragedy is that he really is a club man

and the inevitable course of events will result in him being sacked and his reputation tarnished.
The guy should NEVER have been asked to stand in in the first place and put in the position of being offered his dream job.
We have a great record for destroying our heroes.
Say what you like about Gunn and his brief tenure but he must have strength of character to still associate himself after what went on.
