Refund the fans?

Why do some away fans of any club ask to be refunded ticket and travel expenses from players following an unexpected or heavy defeat to lower league opposition? Do these same fans offer players a cash bonus should the team achieve a massive victory against a top four Premier League side? It's really daft.
