Careful. You'll end up reading the books.

That's what happened to me. I'm now in a state of never-ending anxiety waiting for the next one, in the full knowledge it'll be ANOTHER SEVERAL YEARS after that before the last one comes out and all is resolved.

I still can't wait for Season Five of the show, mind.

The books and the show differ in a number of ways, obviously the show has to compress a lot so misses certain storylines but it also changes a few other things too (no spoilers). So I'm really looking forward to seeing how Certain Things are handled in Season Five. Plus there's the little matter of the show coming to an end before the final book is written which is almost bound to happen - the producers know how it all ends but exactly how they handle that will be interesting too.

Fantasy really isn't my genre but a few chapters in to the first book and I couldn't get enough of it.
