Talking of Ashton's valuation

Beattie is one benchmark, but what about looking at costs of players such as Glen Johnson. He went for ?6m after only 6 games for WHU (I think). Dean is an English striker and potentially a very good one. I think we could get a lot of money for him and since we have no need to sell, we should only do so if someone breaks the bank.

Isnt he on a very long contract anyway?
