It's interesting

I'm very firmly on the record as being strongly on the LGBTQXYZ side of life (despite being an able-bodied heterosexual middle-class white man myself).

Yet I found myself on the side of the god-botherers when watching that. Are they spewing hate-filled bile? Absolutely. But the best way to counter that is with reasoned argument - meet them face to face, point by point - and definitively not by denying them a platform, which is what the fat guy and his friend seemed to be trying to do.

You don't counter irrational hatred and fear by pushing it aside or pretending it doesn't exist. You counter it by giving its head, allowing it to speak, and quietly, calmly, with humility, speaking against it.

Fighting fire with fire has never worked. Fighting fire with water sometimes does.
