I've seen him live a few times
Initially dragged by my wife who claimed he was a genius. I had him down as a standard 80s pop star.
BUT
Live he is pretty f**king impressive. Saw him in Brisbane once, finished the concert then jammed with mates, guest stars (the E street band I think!) for about 2 hrs.
So whilst not totally convinced about. The "Mozart of th 20th century" tag
He can really play a guitar in any style.
(Just about every other instrument too....impressive drummer as I recall)
