My ex wife's brother got shot there.
Online dating went a bit wrong. He'd been 'chatting' to this woman for a few months when they both decided it was time to move things on a bit. Booked time off work, sorted the flight, provisional couple of nights Holiday Inn reserved just in case, packed his s**t and off he went.
Turned out she was a complete basket and so was the husband, an armed police officer with anxiety disorders.
The following year he 'met' and married a lovely Mexican girl from Monterrey. The most mental wedding I've ever been to..
