Completely undermines squad competition if we don't.

Lambert was very good at this. Nobody was undroppable. Even holt.

I think we have a few players that perhaps feel they are automatic choices - particularly in the centre midfield and defence. I'm not saying they shouldn't be picked, but they should have to earn their place.
