but I'm not sure why people seem to think taking a loss counts as "silly money".

Jewell might be using hyperbole to get the price down a bit, but I don't think he'd have the balls to claim us taking a loss on what we paid as silly money. Got to be significantly higher. He *might* mean 4-5 million is silly money, but I suspect we've asked more than that.
