A couple of points...

It would be naive in the extreme to believe that a lack of goals in his next two games would make any difference to potential buyers' opinions of the player.

Aside from that, I believe he WILL leave at the end of the season for the simple reason that even NCFC didn't expect him to perform this well.

I just cannot envisage a scenario (no matter how canary-tinted my spectacles) where he will be playing in the Championship. He has proved beyond all reasonable doubt that his place is now in the top flight and bids of ?7 million plus (which I believe WILL come in) are probably going to be enough to get him a move away from Carrow Road.

I honestly believe that NCFC's plan was to gradually acclimatise the player, cross fingers that he grabbed a few goals that might keep us up, but accept that relegation was most likely and that he would then be an excellent top of the Football League striker next season. He was never considered a 'saviour' as such.

But he has clearly exceeded expectations and a move to stay in the Premiership looks all too likely now.
