Sad to say, but I can't see how the League cup can continue much longer

it started with calling it the f**king Milk Cup, which devalued it, and now it's got to the point where virtually none of the top clubs really want to win it because
a) it's been devalued by Rumbelows, Milk etc.
b) because the prize money isn't even enough to pay a weeks wages to the players that win it (100k ffs)
c) if you win it you're doomed to play in an extra league every thursday before games you can't afford to lose.

In 10 years time it definitely won't exist. The only cup we've ever won is now practically an irritating distraction to 50% of the clubs in it.
In 40 years time kids will think about the Milk cup we won in the way we think about the Texaco Cup or Zenon Data Systems trophy
