We do have to trust Adams - but I wanted O-O to start today
Wes in a 4-4-2 has never worked and never will - he's not that kind of player. And the diamond, which suits Wes, negates our speedy wingers. Honestly, I think we need to look at the opposition, pick the formation (4-4-F-2, 4-2-3-1 or whatever) then pick Wes or not based on that. Which I'm sure happens, but I'm not sure why having seen what happens when Wes is pushed out wide we tried it Yet Again today.
Just for the avoidance of doubt this term I have quickly become and remain an ardent Adams fan. But I don't understand why Lord Vadis didn't start today. Still and all a decent point; we're not going to win them all, and another comeback from 2-0 down has to be a good thing.
