Norfolk accents/Rob Butler etc.
Pleased to see support below for Jim's stand against those who seem to have some sort of snobbery against the Norfolk accent. Why is a Mancunian or Geordie accent regarded as okay but not Norfolk? I'm a Norfolk bloke and like Nelson a proud one. Of course it's okay to have a laugh about it but to think it's embarrassing is a strange reaction and one I don't understand. Because TV has never given much air time and promotion to it doesn't mean that it's any less worthy of any of the other regional accents (indeed when Norfolk is attempted on TV it's usually potrayed as some sort of Somerset/London cross). As for Rob Butler. I like him. Superb fan, lives and breathes the club, good on the radio and he always promotes the club and gives back a bit of banter which we always seemed to have to take but never had a voice to give it back. Never have understood the criticism of him and suspect it's as Jim said, jealousy that he has such a high profile voice.
