I saw quite a bit of derby on tv towards the end of last season and they looked very average and Martin looked exactly the same player he did when he played for us. He has always had talent, is technically decent and will give defenders a hard time but he lacks the pace/movement to make it at the very top level in my view. He might be able to do a Holty and have a half decent season in the prem on the back of the momentum of getting promoted.

Same with Rhodes. He can finish, no doubt, but he does absolutely nothing to contribute to the rest of the team and again does not have the pace to get away from top defenders.

McCormack is just a decent, championshop level player.

None of these players talents are really worth anything like the figures being paid/banded about for them but desperate clubs with too much money will pay over the odds for strikers.

Hooper is better than all of them.
