Is using a racist slur as part of a joke reply acceptable?

Taking the line out of context makes it look much worse than it is.........

Is AB a racist if he uses a racial slur in any context?

Now im not saying this is what Malky did but I would want to see the whole back and forth instead of carefully clipped messages.
