because like it or not they're not the same. Even if you want rid of a player you don't publicly say so because your bargaining power with buying clubs is shot to hell.
We were probably fed up with QPR pissing about with the Fer thing (we'd rather have deal done early and get it sorted) - by bringing him on Saturday and giving the impression we might tonight we forced their hand.

I can't believe people STILL take public statements at face value - they are all PR statements with a certain goal to achieve. Just read them and think 'what are they trying to achieve with this statement' and everything becomes pretty clear.
