Why are we still persisting with this?

Its not worked since the opening day last season vs Everton when Ruddy struggled to play it short and when unable to do so had the aerial warriors Wolf and Snod to aim for. Elmander was little better. But still we persisted. We're not Man Utd, Liverpool or Barca, we don't suffocate possession and never have done. Its too easy to defend against us. Harry the defenders and when the clearance comes just win the header. Grabban won nothing, Redmond didn't even try. Lafferty was on about 2 mins and he'd already won his own flick on and charged at the Wolves backline. In my mind we always need a strong player up top with a good touch, because we're always going to need an out ball. If it were me, if we're not using Becchio this year then we need to go out and buy some tall, brutal t**t because without Lafferty available we're going to seriously struggle with Grabban and/or Redmond up against centrebacks.
