Degradation of squad

Surprised yesterday how much optimism there was with the team and many comments saying what a good squad it was at Champs level. But reality is that the squad has been down graded with just a few exceptions. Realistically Fer and Hooper will be leaving and that only leaves one outstanding player, Ruddy.

I couldn't understand the euphoria of Wes. He's been hit and miss for us and can be brilliant or a liability that's why neither Lambert nor Hughton used him regularly. Surman is suddenly first team choice having played no part in Premier League.

Whitaker, Martin, Turner, Johnson, Bennett are all now playing at their correct level (albeit Martin is out of position - he's no centre-half). So is Grabban obviously, having never played at a higher level which leaves Redmond and Olsson as the only two players with a decent shout as Premier players.
