Just back from the game. Thoughts.

Hugely frustrating to give another cr*p team in orange a kick start to their season by turning in a poor display in our first away game.

I think the concerns of those who were concerned we would be undercooked (of which I was not one) were proven correct. We have better players than Wolves but were off the pace. Also had too many players coming back after absences. A fit Olsson does not get done for pace like that.

For me the diamond was the wrong choice against a team whose main threat is down the flanks.

Lesson from today is need more strength in the central midfield area. If fit, Tettey should play as he is the only one who can shield the defence effectively.

Whitaker was appalling.

We moved the ball too slowly.

For all of the above we were finally getting on top in the 10 mins before the sending off and I think we would have won if it had remained 11 aside.

That away section at Molineux is crap as can't get any atmosphere going at all. What atmosphere there was turned pretty poisonous and the bloke near us ejected for the most blatant monkey noises I've ever heard at the Wolves winger whilst sitting not more than 15 feet from a group of about 6 black guys (I think relatives of some of our players) deserved the ban that will no doubt come his way.
