regarding your earlier post about london
worth bearing in mind that the Ride London cycling event is taking place over the weekend. Sunday they will be heading out of the city but Saturday will have people riding around in a loop around the centre town which you may or may not want to avoid (see map here):

the earlier suggestion of musuems and then into hyde park/kensington gardens is decent.
im never 100% sure about zoos but London Zoo is good for a 3 year old i think, and is also bang in the middle of regent's park so you can make a good day of it there too. that also has a boating lake. if you go to any of the parks taking a bag of peanuts (the ones with shells) and feeding the squirrels can be fun for kids as they will come right up to you sometimes
Boat trip on the thames (just on the clippers, rather than anything too expensive) can be a nice way to break up a day and transport you from one end of town to the other.
south bank as before suggested is nice too, you could wander west from tower bridge and go past borough market, the replica of the golden hinde, shakespeares globe, tate modern, all the stuff at the south bank centre (usually something going on for kids here including fountains and so on) , the aquarium and the london eye. plenty of cafes and ice cream vans and places to stop and sit down along that route as well, and no traffic to worry about.
One last thing to bear in mind is there might be a big pro Gaza demo on Saturday as well, though the route doesnt seem to have been agreed yet. you might want to check on friday and see if/where thats going
