My first thought was "why another one"...

...but this looks potentially interesting - you'll need to keep getting the interviews of course. "Bassong is the answer at the back" - nice clickbait there :) I liked the squad selector, even better would be the option not to finish and tweet, but finish and give me a URL I can paste on here (we often discuss lineups/formations and this would be a great tool for that). The navigation is clean and clear.

The writing of the articles is in places not good enough. Apart from typos (e.g. "strengthen" instead of "strengthened") no-one should need to explain the difference between "paltry" and "poultry", for example. Phrases like "As I previously alluded to, I'm not wholly against the idea of..." are clunky. Generally you need an editor.

People like Mick Dennis write interesting stuff on a crap platform, I don't know if you could get his copy on yours.

In sum: looks nice, well put together, some nice site features, the writing lets it down a bit.

And you need to tell us what you had for lunch.
