I'm 99% veggie these days, but that strikes me as scaremongering

Finding a disillusioned employee to take a few incriminating looking photos and make some misleading allegations is not difficult. Indeed, one of the companies concerned has issued a pretty strong rebuttal (User Posted Link As far as I can tell, the Guardian shows no direct link between the standards at those farms and a public health problem. It's all hypothetical. Clearly Campylobacter is a problem, but smearing the whole chicken farming industry is not going to fix it.

The real story is the nutritional research they talk about in the comment piece about how chicken is actually a lot fattier than people think. If we want a healthier population, we need people to make the right choices about what they eat based on nutritional facts, not misplaced fears that the next drumstick they eat could give them food poisoning.
