not read it all, but my argument is that a watch is jewellery

Why do people spend thousands an flashy diamonds when diamante looks the same to the untrained eye....

a watch is essentially jewellery these days as you can get the time from everywhere such as laptop, computer, phone, most places have clocks. The function of the watch as it was originally intended has almost ceased to exist and has transformed into being a piece of jewellery that looks fashionable.
