From my point of view, I don't see Neil as being inexperienced
As with any job you don't just walk into a senior position, you have to show you're capable and for me Neil has already done that.
A lot of people are putting a lot into the fact that he used to be a youth team boss and this has inevitably been on the premise that being a successful youth team coach is easier than a professional top flight manager. For me thats like saying its harder to manage in the Premier League than it is in League Two, which is simply not true. Those jobs attract bigger names, but surely the most skilled are those who create success with whatever they have, unable to spend big bucks on bringing people in and capitalising only on your own strengths. My point being that success can come at any level and still be relevant, it doesn't matter how valuable your players are and how much you pay them every week. That's why I've always said bring in managers from other industries should not be out of the question, though that final point is not for everyone.
All managers make mistakes and I'm sure when Neil makes his, it will be put down to his inexperience when that may not be the case. Anyhow, its quite right to think Neil has a lot to prove and of course I expect some people to be skeptical, just putting down my side of the story. I may be wrong.
